سیب پوست کن یکی از وسایل مهم در آشپزخانه های صنعتی بزرگ است. وقتی صحبت از یک کار وقت گیر مانند پوست کندن سیب زمینی به میان می آید، دستگاه پوست کن سیب زمینی جای خود را باز می کند.
 نحوه کار سیب پوست کن :
دستگاه دارای یک مخزن استوانه ایی است. در کف این مخزن یک صفحه چرخان وجود دارد. سطح این صفحه با دانه های  سنباده ایی پوشانده شده است. این صفحه توسط یک الکتروموتور می چرخد. وقتی سیب زمینی ها داخل مخزن ریخته می  شوند بایستی جریان آب نیز به داخل مخرن باز باشد. در این هنگام با چرخیدن صفحه سنباده و برخورد سیب زمینی ها با آن  پوسته رویی سیب زمینی ها کنده شده و به همراه جریان آب به خارج از دستگاه منتقل می شود.
